These terms govern use of the NetReps application ("the application"), this website, and the educational content NetReps publishes. By using the application or relying on its content, you accept these terms.

1. What NetReps is

NetReps is a self-hosted tool that produces and publishes short educational videos about Cisco networking topics to its operator's own social media accounts. It is operated by one individual for their own accounts. It is not a service offered to the public, provides no user accounts, and does not publish content on behalf of third parties.

2. Educational purpose and no warranty

All content is provided for general educational purposes only, on an "as is" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Important

NetReps content is study support. It is not official Cisco training material, not exam guidance endorsed by any certification body, and not professional advice. Content may contain errors or become outdated as vendor software and exam blueprints change. Always verify against Cisco's official documentation, and test any configuration in a lab before applying it to a production network.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage — including network outages, data loss, failed examinations, or business losses — arising from reliance on the content.

3. Acceptable use

When interacting with NetReps content you agree not to:

Use the content unlawfully, or in breach of the rules of the platform on which it appears.
Misrepresent the content as official Cisco material or as certification exam content.
Attempt to interfere with, probe, or disrupt the application or this website.
Republish content commercially as your own without permission (see section 5).

4. Platform rules

Content published through NetReps is subject to the terms and community guidelines of whichever platform hosts it. Where a platform's rules conflict with these terms, that platform's rules apply to the content hosted there. The application is operated in accordance with the developer terms of the platform APIs it uses.

5. Intellectual property

The NetReps name, mascot, site design and published videos belong to the operator. You may share and link to published videos through the hosting platform's own sharing features. You may not re-upload, re-brand, or commercially redistribute the videos without written permission.

Cisco, CCNA, CCNP, IOS and related marks are trademarks of Cisco Systems, Inc. NetReps is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorised by Cisco Systems, Inc. Technical terms and command syntax are referenced descriptively for educational purposes.

6. AI-generated content

Videos published by NetReps use AI-generated narration and AI-assisted scripting, with synthetic voices licensed for this use. This is disclosed in each video's description and, where the platform provides the setting, flagged as synthetic media. Human oversight is applied to the topics covered and the technical rules the content must follow, but individual videos are produced automatically.

7. Third-party services

The application relies on third-party services (social platform APIs, an AI text service, and a text-to-speech provider). Their availability, pricing and terms are outside our control, and interruptions to them may interrupt publishing.

8. Availability

This website and the application are provided without any uptime guarantee. Publishing may be paused, changed, or discontinued at any time without notice.

9. Corrections

If you believe a video contains a technical error, please report it to theragingnerd192@gmail.com. Substantiated errors will be corrected, and materially misleading videos removed.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The current version is always published on this page with the date it took effect. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.
